Last week I wrote a new song - 3 Doors Down. It is a fun upbeat tune. I performed it at Dr. Halls Santa Fe Has Talent and recorded it on Garage Band. I also made it the song of the week this week for New Song Sunday. I really like the song. But there were some of the lines that just didn't hit for me.
So I have begun reworking it. I change a couple of the lines in the chorus. I rework the bridge. I will get some feed back from my bandmates and guitar instructor.
This is how songs are built. One line at a time.
The new version is better and focuses more on the “hook” - 3 Doors down. I hope to get the new version recorded this week and we will likely start playing it live in October.
